A Landscape in Motion

Kinetic Pixel Wall explores the relationship between reflection, movement and abstracted landscape through a mechanized grid of individually mounted mirrored tiles.

Thousands of small reflective panels are arranged edge-to-edge across a sweeping silhouette, each one able to shift and rotate independently. As they move, the surface transforms from a flat mirrored plane into a shifting, pixelated composition — echoing the form of clouds, mountains or a coastline dissolving and reforming in real time.

The mirrored finish means the piece is never static even at rest, catching ambient light and the surrounding room within its grid, while its kinetic capability allows it to shift its own imagery independently of anything reflected in it.

Rather than functioning as a fixed wall feature, the installation acts as a living, responsive surface—using thousands of moving reflective elements to bring perpetual motion and changing light to an entire wall.
