Optic Stripe Planters

Optic Stripe Planters explore the relationship between scale, geometry and rhythm through a pair of sculptural totem-form planters finished in bold, banded monochrome stripes.

Each piece is built from a stack of contrasting cylindrical and bowl-like forms — wide at the base, narrowing through a slender waist, and flaring outward again at the top into a broad open bowl. The alternating black-and-white striping wraps continuously around every curve, creating an optical, almost hypnotic rhythm as the eye travels up the piece.

Sculptural in scale and graphic in finish, the planters read as much as freestanding art objects as functional planters, holding their own as a striking pair in a garden, courtyard or entrance without needing greenery to complete them.
