Verde Cactus — Contemporary Glass Sculpture
A Desert Form, Reimagined in Glass
Verde Cactus transforms the familiar silhouette of a cactus into a sculptural study of glass, light, colour and organic form.
The artwork is constructed from individually shaped translucent green glass elements, arranged vertically to create the branching rhythm of a cactus. Each form carries its own texture, transparency and tonal variation, allowing the sculpture to feel organic rather than mechanically constructed.
The dark outlines provide definition between the individual glass forms, while the varying shades of green create depth throughout the composition.
As light passes through the glass, the artwork changes character — appearing deeper and more vibrant in direct light and softer and more atmospheric in diffused surroundings.
The result is a piece that sits between nature, sculpture and architecture.
